About The Second Indochina WarThe Second Indochina War started in 1954 and ended in 1975. The War occurred in South East Asia, predominantly in North and South Vietnam as well as Cambodia and Laos, as shown on the map to the right. The War was between the South Vietnamese Government that joined forces with the United States of America as well as other countries that were a part of the SEATO (Southeast Asia Treaty Organisation) in a fight against North Vietnam and their communist beliefs and Government. The North Vietnamese ultimately concurred the South, leading to the fall of Saigon in 1975.
